Chemical Peels

Chemical peels stand at the forefront of skin rejuvenation, offering a tailored solution to enhance skin texture, tone, and overall appearance. This procedure uses a chemical solution to remove the outer layers of old skin, revealing a smoother, more radiant complexion underneath. Ideal for addressing concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, uneven skin tone, and sun damage, chemical peels range from mild to deep intensity to suit individual skin types and goals. Dr. Jason Champagne’s expertise ensures that each treatment is customized to maximize benefits while minimizing downtime. With chemical peels, patients embark on a journey to discover their most luminous, refreshed skin, enjoying benefits that go beyond mere surface improvements to stimulate collagen production and long-term skin health.

Unveil Radiant Skin with Advanced Exfoliation

Over time, factors such as aging, sun exposure, and environmental stress can contribute to the development of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and sun-damaged areas on the skin. Chemical peels serve as an effective solution for enhancing skin tightness, improving skin tone and texture, eliminating fine lines, and addressing deeper wrinkles and facial folds. While mild peels can be administered by aestheticians or even at home, the advanced chemical peels available at our practice target deeper skin layers and necessitate the expertise of a seasoned physician for safe and effective application.

Chemical peels, long relied upon by skilled physicians, offer proven results through a variety of topical solutions that facilitate chemical exfoliation at various depths, ranging from trichloroacetic acid for more superficial peels to phenol mixtures for intensive, deeper peels. The essence of achieving the best outcomes lies in the hands of an experienced physician capable of administering a peel that’s both safe and tailored to the individual’s skin needs. Dr. Champagne is committed to providing a personalized consultation to determine the most suitable peel type for your unique skin condition, ensuring optimal results tailored to your aesthetic goals.

Who Is an Ideal Candidate for Chemical Peels?

  • Fine wrinkles to deep furrows.
  • Sun damage and spots.
  • Acne.
  • Rosacea.
  • Superficial melasma.

How is the Procedure Performed?

For comfort purposes, Dr. Champagne reserves medium to deep chemical peels for the operating room setting in conjunction with other scheduled surgery. The chemical agent is applied to your skin and then covered with a topical ointment. Light to deep peels can also be performed in the office with laser skin rejuvenation if a peel is the only procedure you require.

Recovery Insights

Light peels are associated with minimal downtime, whereas medium peels require 3-5 days. Deep peels need 7-10 days of downtime and are followed by weeks of erythema. Although there is significant downtime with deep peels, results can be expected to last many years. To prevent infections, although rare, patients will be given a prescription for oral medications.
